Tynnwyd y ffotos isod dros y blynyddoedd diwethaf, gan fy mod wedi bod yn cerdded ac yn dysgu sut i dal sylw at straeon bach o’r tir. Mae nhw’n portreaudau planhigion a ffyngau y lle.
This is a selection from a series of photos taken over the last few years, as I have been walking in the valley here, learning how to pay attention. As I do this work, I am making a practice of noticing, as well as I can, the beauty in the small and very ordinary stories, and of noting the importance of what is happening in these places. There is importance in this work of noticing, it changes my relationships with who and what I encounter. Through it, the conditions arise for something new to emerge. I think of these as photographic portraits of the plants and fungi that arise in this place.
The photographs shared below are from a former opencast coal mine which was abandoned without being restored, after the bankruptcy of the mining companies concerned.
